In Memoriam: Norman Sinrich ’52 (LL.M. ’53)

Norman Sinrich ’52 (LL.M. ’53) passed away on Monday after a brief illness. A long time member and supporter of the NYU Law community, Sinrich first studied at the Law School as a J.D., then LL.M. student, and later returned to his alma mater as a faculty member.

As a student, Sinrich was a member of the Law Review, then later served as a graduate editor of the Tax Law Review.  Sinrich served as a full time member of the NYU Law faculty from 1979 to 1981. An adjunct professor of law since 1981, Sinrich co-taught the Advanced Corporate Tax Seminar, an enormously popular course, with Law School Trustee Carr Ferguson (LL.M. '60). Sinrich was also Of Counsel at Feingold & Alpert, and prior to that, he was Senior Tax Partner at Chadbourne & Parke.
