Times Wang '11 writes a plea in a Washington Post op-ed for President Obama to help his father

Drawing parallels between his son-father relationship and that of the president, Times Wang '11 writes in the Washington Post of his disappointment in the current administration's reticence on China's human rights abuses and expresses hope that Obama will "confront human rights issues" this week during his first visit to China. Wang's father, Wang Bingzhang, is a political prisoner who is serving a life sentence and has been held in solitary confinement since 2002. The elder Wang was mentioned as a possible recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize that was awarded last month to Obama.
