NYU@NUS holds third annual convocation

NYU@NUS, the joint LL.M. program of the NYU School of Law and the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law, held its third convocation on February 22 at Singapore’s Asian Civilisations Museum. Global Professor of Law Simon Chesterman, director of the NYU School of Law Singapore Program, presided over the ceremony for the Class of 2010, comprised of 30 students from around the world.

Following remarks by Tan Cheng Han, dean of the NUS Faculty of Law, and Tan Eng Chye, deputy president for academic affairs and provost of NUS, two students, Andrew Rudisill Vinton, who is American, and Tiwari Soni Amarnath Pushpa, who is Indian, addressed their fellow graduates. The guest of honor was Walter Woon Cheong Ming, Singapore’s attorney general, who made final remarks before the degree candidates were presented and hooded.
