Miliband to appear in panel discussion at Law School

David Miliband, foreign secretary of the United Kingdom, is scheduled to sit down with NYU President John Sexton and NYU Professor of Law Norman Dorsen today at 3:00 p.m. for a discussion on the foreign policy challenges likely to confront the next U.S. president. Audience members will be invited to ask questions after the discussion.

In addition to his capacity as foreign secretary, Miliband is a member of Parliament representing the constituency of South Shields in northeastern England. He was instrumental in composing the Labour Party manifesto for the 1997 general election, the year that the party gained its first parliamentary majority since 1979. Miliband has served as the head of Prime Minister Tony Blair’s Policy Unit, minister of state for schools, minister of state for communities and local governments and secretary for environment, food and rural affairs.
