Ana Irene Delgado (LL.M. '06) named Panama Ambassador to the U.K.

On February 23, Ana Irene Delgado (LL.M. ’06) presented her credentials as Panama's Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Nothern Ireland to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

A native of Panama, Delgado attended the School of Law and Political Science at Santa Maria La Antigua University before entering the LL.M. program at NYU Law. After her graduation in 2006, Delgado became a partner at the Panama-based firm Solis, Endara, Delgado and Guevara, where she worked up until her ambassadorial appointment. According to an interview with Diplomat Magazine, Delgado has set three priorities as Panama’s Ambassador to the U.K.: strengthening bilateral education links, close collaboration on security issues, and encouraging business investments in Panama, particularly in tourism.
