Fed Chairman Bernanke speaks at NYU Law

Bernanke's speech, "Financial Regulation and the Invisible Hand," focused on how to ensure the best balance between government intervention and free-market discipline in creating incentive for commercial banks and hedge funds to moderate their financial risk.

Bernanke visited NYU at the invitation of the Center for the Study of Central Banks and the Global Economic Policy Forum, co-chaired by Geoffrey Miller, Stuyvesant P. Comfort Professor of Law, and Alan N. Rechtschaffen, Adjunct Professor of Law.
