Summer Housing for NYU School of Law Students

This schedule is for current New York University School of Law students and graduates (May 2013) who wish to apply for summer housing for the summer 2013. Rent is calculated on the number of weeks stayed, and residents will be billed on a full-week basis (Sunday to Saturday), with a minimum stay of 4 weeks.

Transition Housing
(Housing for the period between the end of the Spring Term and the start of the Summer Term)
Current spring 2013 residents who request, and are confirmed for, a summer housing stay for week 1 (June 2, 2013 - Summer Housing start date) may apply for Transition Housing.  Residents will be charged the Summer 2013 weekly rate that corresponds with the apartment type to which they are assigned for Transition Week housing.  Current residents switching into a different apartment assignment for the summer will be required to do so as scheduled by the Department of Residence Services (Sunday, May 26 at 12:00 p.m.).  Residents will be charged the Summer 2013 weekly rate that corresponds with the apartment type to which they are assigned.
Please see the

Only current spring 2013 residents are eligible for transition housing.

Summer Term Housing

The Summer Term begins on June 2, 2013 and ends on August 10, 2013.  Current NYU Law students  may apply for a stay of 4 to 10 weeks.

Summer to Fall Housing
NYU School of Law students who have a summer housing assignment for week 10 of the Summer Term (August 4 to August 10, 2013), and also have a confirmed Fall 2013 housing assignment, may apply for accommodations from August 10 (end of the Summer Program) to August 24 (start of the Academic Year License Period). Those applicants assigned during this period must switch into their academic year housing assignment on August 11. Residents will be charged the 2013-14 early arrival daily rate that corresponds with the apartment type to which they are assigned. Due to the arrival of the entering class, only those residents with a Fall 2013 housing assignment will be accommodated during this time.

We regret that after April 12 we will not be able to reduce your rent amount if you should decide to arrive later or depart earlier than the dates confirmed by us. Rents include local phone, ResNet, NYU TV cable service and utility charges.

Please select from the purple links at the left to view specific rates for the individual accommodations.

Payment for all summer housing charges must be made in full by Thursday, June 7, 2013.  Those summer residents who fail to make payment by June 7, 2013 will be unable to participate in  the course selection lottery and will be charged a $100 late payment fee.  Residents who face financial hardship should contact the Office of Student Financial Services to arrange a housing payment plan.  Residents with an approved housing payment plan will not be assessed the $100 late payment fee.
