Health and Safety: Precautions, Testing, and other Information

The Law School is coordinating closely with the University to address the threat presented by COVID-19. The University has created a central hub with information on COVID-19-related measures and precautions, including specific information for students, faculty, researchers, and employees. All members of the Law School community should be familiar with the information provided on this hub, which is regularly updated.

The following measures are required of all members of our community who plan to be on campus:

  • Testing. The University is conducting return-to-campus testing, symptomatic and contact testing, and ongoing randomized testing.
  • Daily COVID-19 Screener. Completion of a brief questionnaire, the Daily COVID-19 Screener, is required to obtain authorization to enter non-residential NYU facilities.
  • Face Coverings/Masks: Face coverings over both the mouth and nose must be worn at all times on the University campus, with limited exceptions.
  • Physical Distancing: Individuals are expected to maintain a 6-foot distance from others, whenever possible. The University and Law School  have implemented measures to reduce density in academic buildings and residence halls.
