Wisconsin AG Secured Settlement with Concrete Materials Manufacturer over Air Quality Violations

Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul secured a settlement with County Materials Corp. over violations of the state’s air quality laws involving unpermitted emissions of particulates, volatile organic compounds and other pollutants from the company’s concrete materials manufacturing facility in Janesville, WI. The company allegedly operated its facility without a permit for several years, and failed to pay emissions fees and submit emissions reports as required under state law. Under the terms of the settlement, the company will pay $171,750 in penalties and fees.
