Sixteen AGs Filed Comments Criticizing Energy Department’s Refusal to Strengthen Efficiency Standards for Common Incandescent Lightbulbs

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra and New York Attorney General Letitia James led a coalition of 16 attorneys general in submitting comments opposing the Energy Department’s proposal to not strengthen efficiency standards for common pear-shaped incandescent lightbulbs. In their comments, the AGs cited the Energy Department’s own analysis showing that, if the standards were adopted, “the net present value of the benefits to the nation would equal up to $4.171 billion.”
