Oregon AG Challenged FERC Approval of Jordan Cove Liquefied Natural Gas Export Facility

Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum filed a petition for review challenging the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) approval of the proposed Jordan Cove liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility and associated natural gas pipeline in southern Oregon. FERC approved the project over the objections of AG Rosenblum and the state’s Department of Environmental Quality, Department of Fish and Wildlife and Department of Land Conservation and Development, and subsequently denied AG Rosenblum and the state agencies’ request for rehearing.
