Eleven AGs Filed Petition for Review of Weakened Hydrofluorocarbon Leak Prevention Regulations

New York Attorney General Letitia James led a coalition of 11 attorneys general in filing a petition for review of a rule finalized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that weakened leak repair, inspection and monitoring requirements for appliances that contain hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). HFCs are a family of extremely potent greenhouse gases that are most commonly used in refrigeration appliances.
