California AG Raised Serious Concerns with EPA’s Non-Enforcement Policy Amid Coronavirus Crisis

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra sent a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) urging the agency to rescind its suspension of monitoring and reporting requirements under a range of federal environmental laws during the coronavirus pandemic. AG Becerra expressed “serious concerns” with the policy, warning it would give “wide berth for pollution to go unmeasured and unaccounted for during this critical time.”
