Sam Yu

Sam is a first-year student at NYU Law. Originally from China, Sam graduated from the University of Virginia in 2018 with a B.A. in Political & Social Thought and in Economics. In his undergraduate economics thesis, Sam examined the intersection of antitrust and intellectual property laws in a type of conduct in the pharmaceutical industry known as pay-for-delay settlements. After graduation, Sam worked as an analyst at an economic consulting firm in Boston, analyzing business and economic issues in litigation involving antitrust and patent infringement matters, particularly in the tech industry. Sam is interested in further exploring the relationship between antitrust law, innovation, and the economy.
