Student Events
PCCE organizes several high profile events each year to which students are invited. In addition, PCCE organizes a series of events especially for NYU Law Students. PCCE features a series of roundtable discussions with leading experts in compliance and enforcement organized by our Senior Fellows.
NYU School of Law is rich in compliance and enforcement scholarship and academic offerings. While courses in compliance, risk management, enforcement and corporate governance have been offered at NYU School of Law for many years, the Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement aims to treat these areas of the law as intimately intertwined, approaching each discipline as it relates to the others. This comprehensive treatment of the law recognizes that to fully understand corporate compliance and agency enforcement, discussion, scholarship and education must encompass both.
The Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement is dedicated to establishing an interdisciplinary academic field of study on corporate crime and compliance that will examine (1) the causes of corporate crime and other misconduct; (2) the factors that motivate human behavior within an organization and shape corporate culture; and (3) effective methods of identifying and deterring corporate misconduct. To that end, PCCE has undertaken to develop and implement an innovative and rigorous curriculum that integrates compliance, enforcement, risk management and governance into a comprehensive academic field at NYU School of Law for advanced legal study.
