Advancing Workplace Equity Through Collaboration

The BWLN works with leaders in the legal industry to better sustain the careers not only of NYU alumnae, but also of all women across the profession. The challenges to women’s equal leadership in the law are too big to be solved by any individual entity—or even any one industry. To make meaningful progress, the BWLN will convene a cross-sector network of legal employers, clients, academics, and other likely and unlikely allies, who will come together to problem-solve, innovate, and experiment—all with a common goal of increasing the share of leadership positions in the law occupied by women. Through collaboration, transparency, and accountability, this initiative will pinpoint and strive to break through some of the thorniest and most intractable obstacles to women’s advancement in the leadership of the legal profession.
