Announcements

Summer 2022 and Fall 2022 exam schedules are now available.

You are strongly encouraged to complete a 10-minute Practice Exam prior to your first exam.

Postponements

How to request a postponement

To preserve the anonymous nature of our grading system, students should not request postponements or any special arrangements from the instructor in a course.

If you need to postpone an exam, submit a request via ExamReporter.

  • Click on “Postponements”
  • In “Request Postponement,” select the class for which you seek a postponement.
  • Select the type or reason for the requested postponement. Please include relevant details.
  • Then click "Submit."

You will need to submit a separate request for each exam you wish to postpone.

Submit any additional documentation (e.g., doctor’s note) to the Exam Team by opening a ticket. It will be reviewed and you will be notified if your request is approved or denied.

Postponement requests received after the deadline are subject to additional review and may require further explanation/documentation. They will be processed in order of exam date, and you may not hear until just prior to your exam.

Results of postponement requests will be available in ExamReporter.

Rescheduling an exam

The guidelines for postponement of examinations due to exam scheduling conflicts or personal issues may be found in the Postponing Examinations section in the Academic Policies Guide.

Postponed exams will be scheduled on the first day on which no exams are scheduled and does not create a need for further postponement or the next available day of the following week if you have four consecutive exams within one calendar week (Monday through Friday). Students cannot take an exam earlier than the scheduled exam date.

Please note the following:

  • The time allotted for an exam might change at the professor's instruction. Therefore, students should adhere to the time specified on the exam instruction sheet on the day the exam is taken.

  • When you postpone an exam, the grade may show up as "IP." It will be changed when your actual grade is entered into the system.

  • Petitions to the Executive Committee will be entertained only in cases of unusually severe hardship.

Accommodations for Students with Disabilities

If you are a student with disabilities requesting testing accommodations:
