Campaign Launched!
At a special Weinfeld Gala at the New York Public Library on September 19, the NYU School of Law publicly announced a $400 million capital campaign, a fundraising effort as large as any in the history of American legal education. The campaign, which will end in 2009, has already succeeded in raising more than $165 million during a three-year silent phase. The money will be used to expand the faculty, increase the annual fund and support the work of our centers and institutes. “In a remarkably short span of time, NYU School of Law has moved into the small handful of schools at the very top tier of legal education,” said Dean Revesz in congratulating the gathered alumni. “We have achieved this great success by pursuing a distinctive path in legal education. The campaign will ensure that we continue on this steep trajectory.” More
