Wireless at the School of Law

The wireless network at the Law School is part of a broader NYU campus-wide network. New this year, NYU is moving to a new configuration, called 'nyu'. To connect to this network you will need:

  1. a wireless network card in their laptop that is 802.11(a, b or g) compatible and that uses WPA or WPA2 Enterprise security.
  2. to configure your wireless card to access 'nyu'

If your wireless card does not support this configuration, you may still need to use the NYU-ROAM3 configuration along with the Cisco Systems VPN Client. Instuctions for connecting to NYU-ROAM3 are found here.

nyu Configuration

As with previous wireless configurations, you must have a valid NYU NetID and password to connect to the wireless network at NYU.

The NYU ITS Website has instructions for connecting to the nyu network with Windows XP and Mac OS X. They can be found at http://www.nyu.edu/its/wireless/configure/nyu.html

If you are connecting with the Dell Wireless Utility, you may find instructions on setting up the 'nyu' network here.
