Wireless at the School of Law
The wireless network at NYU Law is part of a broader NYU campus-wide network called nyu. Most modern mobile devices can connect and authenticate to the nyu network. Prerequisites:
- An active NYUHome account with according privileges (e.g. full or part-time student status, full-time employee)
- A wireless network card in their laptop that is 802.11(a, g, or n) compatible and that uses WPA or WPA2 Enterprise security.
nyu Configuration
To connect your laptop or mobile device to the nyu network, please follow the instructions posted at www.nyu.edu/its/wireless/configure/. You'll find instructions for various laptop and smartphone/tablet operating systems. If your wireless card does not support this configuration, you may still need to use the NYU-ROAM3 configuration along with the Cisco Systems VPN Client. Instuctions for connecting to NYU-ROAM3 are found here.
