Apple iOS Credit Card Protection Instructions

In order to protect your credit card information in case of loss or theft of your iPad or iPhone, you will need the following information when communicating with AT&T or Verizon. 

  • The IMEI # of your device
  • The cellular data number associated with the device
  • Serial # of the device (in some cases)

You might not otherwise have this information on hand unless you take some time now to document it for your records.  

iPad

  1. From the main menu, select "Settings"
  2. Select "General" on the left side
  3. On the right side you will find all the information listed above
  4. Write down the pertinent information or take a screenshot by simultaneously pressing the power and home buttons.  (If your volume is turned up, you will hear a picture flash sound.) 
  5. Store information in a safe place and send a copy to Zulma Rosario for our records
  6. To email your screenshot:
    1. Go back to the main menu by selecting home button
    2. Select "Photos"
    3. Navigate to your screenshot and tap your screen to reveal send icon on bottom left-hand side of screen
    4. Select "Email Photo"
    5. Address the email to yourself and copy Zulma Rosario
    6. Save the email for your records

iPhone

  1. From the main menu, go to Settings > General > About
  2. Scroll down to see the IMEI and Serial numbers
  3. Write down the pertinent information or take a screenshot by simultaneously pressing the power and home buttons.  (If your volume is turned up, you will hear a picture flash sound.) 
  4. Store information in a safe place and send a copy to Zulma Rosario for our records
  5. To email your screenshot:
    1. Go back to the main menu by selecting home button
    2. Select "Photos"
    3. Navigate to your screenshot and tap your screen to reveal send icon on bottom left-hand side of screen
    4. Select "Email Photo"
    5. Address the email to yourself and copy Zulma Rosario
    6. Save the email for your records
