Officers

The members of the SBA come from diverse backgrounds and have very different career goals, but are all committed to strengthening our Law School community. We welcome any members of the community approaching us with ideas or issues they would like the SBA to address. We are often available in person and always accessible via email.

The SBA is comprised of a six person Executive Board and sixteen Class Representatives. The 1L Representatives are elected by their respective sections, whereas the 2L, 3L and LL.M. Representatives are elected by all members of their graduating class. The President, Vice President, Treasurer, Executive Secretary, Social Chair, and All-University Senator (collectively, the Executive Board) are elected in school-wide contests held in the spring of the previous calendar year.

Elections for Executive Board and 2L and 3L Representative positions are held in the spring. 1L and LLM elections are held in the fall. If you'd like more information, check out our Constitution.

The SBA has standing committees, which exist to address matters the SBA regularly works with.  Each standing committee is chaired by a different Executive Board member, and includes SBA Representatives and students-at-large as members.
