Law Women Symposium
Labor Conditions and Latina Women in the Global Marketplace

Our sincere gratitude goes to LALSA for their assistance and support.

Agenda
Topics
The Law Women Symposium will focus on the working conditions experienced by many Latina women, both domestically and internationally, and the effects that globalization has had on these conditions. We hope to raise profound questions about the sociological effects, political dynamics, and legal questions surrounding sweatshop labor. We will discuss the merits and shortcomings of actions taken in the past to monitor and reform domestic and foreign labor, as well as the value and appropriateness of proposed future measures.

Location
New York University School of Law
Vanderbilt Hall, Greenberg Lounge
