When/Where is the Auction?
The auction will be held on Thursday February 28, 2008 at NYU School
of Law, Vanderbilt Hall located at 40 Washington Square South. Bidding
on all silent auction items will begin at 6:00 PM and conclude at
10:00 PM. The live auction will begin at 7:30 PM and conclude at
9:00PM, with bidding on silent auction items continuing concurrently.
How does the silent auction work?
Before being allowed to bid, bidders fill out forms regarding billing
information (all major credit cards will be accepted). The highest
bidder at the close of the auction will be automatically charged
for the item and then contacted by phone or email to arrange pick
up.
How does bidding work?
When you arrive at the auction, you will be asked to fill out some
paperwork with your name, address and billing information. You will
then be assigned a unique identification number which you use to
do all of your bidding. If you wish to bid on an item, you must
bid higher than the previous bidder by at least the minimum bid
increment. All items will have an opening bid amount, if you are
the first to bid on the item. If you want to ensure that no one
later outbids you, feel free to exceed the bid increment or check
back frequently to see if you have been outbid. If you are the highest
bidder at the close of the auction, your credit card will be charged
and you will be contacted to arrange delivery of the item.
What methods of payment are allowed?
Items in the live and featured item silent auction may be paid for
by check or credit. Credit cards are the only method of payment
for items in the silent auction. All major credit cards are accepted.
