The Mission of Law Women is to give a voice to women's concerns at NYU School of Law
Law Women accomplishes its mission in a variety of ways, both within and without the NYU Law community:
- We provide academic counseling and advice to female law students, including peer counseling, tutoring, and academic resources
- We facilitate networking and mentorship opportunities with NYU alumnae and the broader women’s legal professional community through networking events and professional development panels.
- We organize social activities for both men and women within the law school, including community service opportunities and collaborations with a variety of student groups.
- We advocate for women’s rights on the national and international stages, actively bringing attention on campus to important issues women face in the world today.
Law Women prides itself on its ability to incorporate all of these elements into its yearly calendar of events. Some of this year's highlights will include the continuation of our successful Peer Mentorship Program, a series of 'Day in the Life' Panels featuring successful women working in a variety of legal fields, and our second annual Law Women Symposium. We hope to see you at all our upcoming events!
