Law Democrats
The NYU Law Democrats seek to promote progressive political change and raise awareness of how politics affect our laws and lives. We strive to help law students become engaged political activists and leaders. The Law Democrats work to organize students in support of Democratic candidates and issues.
Our activities include:
- Panels on using a J.D. in politics
- Voter Protection Training
- Election Day Poll Monitoring
- Fora on Key Political and Legal Issues
- An Annual Trip to Washington, D.C. To Meet with Lawyers in Government and Democratic Politics
- Canvassing and Phonebanking for Candidates and Issue Campaigns
- Debate Watch Parties and Other Social Events
