InSITE
InSITE is an entrepreneurial mentorship program joining New York Business and Law students to support entrepreneurs in the development of businesses and the pursuit of Private Equity/Venture Capital or Angel investments.
This is a fantastic way to get experience with starting up businesses, technology, entrepreneurship, venture capital & consulting.
Each semester, InSITE selects four companies to work with on an in-depth basis. The group meets with the "mentor" companies over a three-month time period, providing consulting services which include:
- Overall Business Review
- Business Plan and Exec Summary Analysis
- Business Model Analysis
- Pitch/Presentation/Story Practice/Enhancement
- Management Review & Recommendations
- Strategic Analysis (timing, competition & alternatives)
- Deal Analysis (including valuation potential)
In addition to company-related work, InSITE meetings are dedicated to training fellows, thereby reinforcing their skills as consultants and mentors. The culmination of the semester-long collaboration is the VC Pitch event and the NYNMA Angel Breakfast, where the companies get an opportunity to present their business to a select group of New York City's prominent Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors for potential investment opportunities. InSITE's mission is to accelerate technology start-ups through their early stage development, transitioning them from their seed stage into being venture-funded companies.
InSITE also organizes a number of social and networking events for students, alumni, start-ups, and investors.
InSITE members will be on campus this semester to discuss the organization & answer questions. People interested in joining InSITE should attend this meeting, check out the website, and/or contact Nicole Leyton for more information.
