Public Interest Law Center: Student Organization Guidelines

Public Interest Contacts:

The Public Interest Law Center (PILC) can connect you with potential speakers who work in public interest for your events and programs. If your student organization is planning an event with outside guests, feel free to email pilc.info@nyu.edu for assistance and guidance on reaching out to them.

Publicity:

PILC can help publicize your student organization event by including it in the PILC portion of the weekly Docket email to students. Be sure to submit the announcement to PILC at pilc.info@nyu.edu on the Wednesday before the week you’d like the announcement distributed in the Docket.

Guidance:

PILC is available to act as a sounding-board for your program ideas. We’ve worked with many student organizations before and are able to provide you with advice for your event ranging from how to reserve the right space, to deciding on an agenda.

Coordination:

If you’re having an event with outside guests and/or alumni/ae, please tell us about it. We want to know who from the public interest community is visiting NYU so that PILC can better coordinate events with student organizations.

Questions:
