Records and Registration

Registering for Writing Credit

You may register, during the add/drop period in ABRA, for the Writing Credit associated with a seminar (or, in some cases, a course) if you plan to write a substantial paper for the seminar. J.D. students may write the substantial paper in order to satisfy their Substantial Writing requirement. LL.M. students may write the paper in order to fulfill the LL.M. Thesis option or to satisfy the writing requirement for their specialization, if applicable.

The Writing Credit is typically valued at 1 credit (when associated with a course, 0 credits). You may register for Writing Credit for more than one seminar or course, if you so choose.

The registration information for Writing Credit is located within the schedule of classes, under each seminar or course where it is an option.
