Programming and Social Events

The Fall Ball and Spring Fling are two school-wide events.  In October, the Law School community celebrates Fall Ball on the 1st and 2nd floors of Vanderbilt Hall, a night of music, fortune tellers and costumes (optional).  Held in March, Spring Fling is a themed night celebration of music and entertainment.  The Barristers' Ball is an end of year celebration for our graduating students, held at Battery Gardens (for more information, click here).  Student’s spouses or domestic partners are welcomed to attend events.

General Reminders for Law School events:

  • No smoking will be allowed in the building, courtyard or terraces.
  • Alcohol will not be permitted to enter or leave Law School buildings;
  • Coat-check facilities are limited, and therefore, we encourage you to check-in as little as possible.
  • Please remove all bicycles from the Vanderbilt Hall courtyard prior to 7pm during these events.

The Student Bar Association and numerous student groups also run a variety of social events throughout the academic year. Please visit the SBA's website for a listing of such events.
