Kenji Yoshino named 2013 Distinguished Visitor by Order of the Coif

Kenji Yoshino, Chief Justice Earl Warren Professor of Constitutional Law, has been named by the Order of the Coif as its Distinguished Visitor for 2013. In that role, Yoshino will spend two days each at American University (in February), Louisiana State University (in the spring), and the University of Florida (in the fall), where he will participate in classroom lectures and seminars, meet informally with faculty and students, and deliver an address to the entire academic community. The aim is to stimulate discussion about vital issues the legal profession faces.

Yoshino, who specializes in constitutional law, antidiscrimination law, and law and literature, is the author of Covering: The Hidden Assault on Our Civil Rights and A Thousand Times More Fair: What Shakespeare’s Play’s Teach Us About Justice, and is working on a forthcoming book about same-sex marriage law. During his upcoming visits, Yoshino will discuss a variety of topics, including the subjects of his books and other scholarship.
