Alina Das '05 is honored for outstanding achievement in immigration law

Alina Das '05Assistant Professor of Clinical Law Alina Das ’05, co-teacher of the Immigrant Rights Clinic, is the 2013 recipient of the Daniel Levy Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement in Immigration Law from LexisNexis. This award, established in 2001, honors an individual who demonstrates enthusiastic advocacy on behalf of immigrant clients, deep scholarship in immigration law, and an expansive vision of justice. Das is the second NYU Law professor to recieve the award; Professor of Clinical Law Nancy Morawetz '81, who co-teaches the Immigrant Rights Clinic with Das, received the award in 2007.
