The Law School Announces Five New Furman Scholars

Professors Rachel Barkow and Barry Friedman are pleased to announce the new Furman Scholars for 2006-07: two from among the 1Ls, two from the rising 2Ls and one rising 3L. Cathy Sweetser '08, is interested in international law. Ben Kingsley '08 joins the program with an interest in environmental law and land use, as well as law and economics. Paul Monteleoni '07 will focus on criminal law and procedure. In addition, both Patrick Garlinger and Rebecca Stone joined the Furman program as part of the incoming 1L class. Patrick comes to law school from Northwestern, where he was an assistant professor of Spanish literature and culture. Rebecca joins us from the University of Leicester where she was a tenure-track lecturer in the department of economics.
