Project Summary

The master plan for the new building, designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates with input from faculty, administrators, and students, called for a total of 111,000 net square feet (78,000 of which will be academic program space), and was created with the Law School's dynamic curriculum and diverse needs in mind. The emphasis of the master plan is on the following six major points:

Reorganizing and relocating many departments to provide for better synergy and to increase their accessibility for students and visitors

Expanding and upgrading teaching facilities for state-of-the-art teaching methods (including the creation of new classrooms, seminar rooms, and flex courtrooms)

Generating more student spaces (including a new café, social lounge, quiet study lounge, and email bars)

Increasing the number of faculty offices

Creating faculty housing
