Our Faculty
NYU Law School’s permanent faculty members include leading figures in many areas of law, including celebrated groups of scholars working in international law, international business law, environmental law, taxation, legal theory and public interest law. This year we welcome three new permanent faculty members: Professor Alan Sykes, a leading figure in the field of law and economics; Professor Adam Samaha, whose research and teaching interests focus on constitutional law and theory; and Assistant Professor David Kamin, whose professional experience in government put him at the intersection of budget and tax policy, most recently, he served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy at the White House. Each year our faculty is augmented by members of our Global Faculty, leading academics from outside the United States who teach regularly at NYU. Our unrivaled location in downtown Manhattan also gives our students easy access to leading practitioners who teach as members of our adjunct faculty, and students take classes with professors from NYU's other schools.
