Graduate Tax Program

Registration

The summer session is open to both NYU School of Law degree and certificate students and non-matriculants. This includes degree candidates at other institutions, NYU School of Law alumni, and non-matriculants. All students will use the Summer Registration Form, not Albert to register. The Form is typically available each year in early May.  The summer 2009 form was emailed to NYU Taxation LL.M. candidates in mid-April 2009.  Non-NYU attorneys or law students who are interested in taking tax classes during the summer can email Maribell.Wiscovitch@nyu.edu to get a copy of the application form.  Prior coursework on U.S. Federal Income Taxation is required to take these summer tax courses.

NYU School of Law LL.M. students and Advanced Professional Certificate students must take summer courses for a letter grade, but others may take courses on a credit/fail basis. Students from other law schools should contact their home school to determine whether they must take summer courses for a letter grade to be eligible for transfer credit. A non-matriculant student has the option of taking summer courses for a letter grade, and if the student receives a C or better, he or she may apply the credits earned to an NYU School of Law degree or certificate, should the student decide to enroll in a degree or certificate program.

Summer courses may not be audited by non-degree candidates, but such students may register for summer courses on a letter grade or pass/fail basis.

The Summer Registration Form should be faxed to (212) 995-4407, emailed as a PDF to Maribell.Wiscovitch@nyu.edu, or submitted in person during business hours to the Graduate Tax Program at 245 Sullivan Street, Office 412.  Questions about registration can be directed to the Office of Records and Registration, 245 Sullivan Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10012, (212) 998-6040, law.registration@nyu.edu.
