Faculty Director
The Faculty Director chairs the J.S.D. Committee. The Faculty Director is responsible for overseeing the J.S.D. Forum, assisting students with the identification of dissertation committee members, providing academic advice to all students and candidates in the program, and offering assistance with the academic job search.
The J.S.D. Committee
The J.S.D. Committee is appointed by the Dean of the Law School to offer admission to applicants to the J.S.D. program, approve the passage of students to J.S.D. candidacy after the first year, consider requests for exceptions to policies, and award the J.S.D. degree.
The J.S.D. Officer
The J.S.D. Officer is appointed by the Faculty Director and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the program. He or she may be contacted at jsdcoordinator@nyu.edu.
