Panel 1: Private Equity's Challenges after the Credit Crunch
This panel will look at the history of private equity and the reasons behind the boom of the last several years. Panelists will then examine the economic and political forces at work behind the credit crunch, the challenges it has created for private equity, and the legal issues private equity players are facing today. Panel 2: Private Equity's Current Challenges and their Impact on Future Transactions
The second panel will discuss the way in which various private equity players are dealing with these current challenges, and examine the impact the credit crunch will have on the way deals are done today and in the near future. The role of regulators will also be analyzed. Finally, panelists will debate the role private equity will play in the future.
