On April 12, 1991, the NYU Annual Survey of American Law dedicated its 49th Volume to founding partner of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and noted corporate lawyer Martin Lipton. Speaking at the dedication in Lipton's honor were, among others, New York University School of Law Dean John Sexton, Yale Sterling Professor of Law Geoffrey C. Hazard, and Senior Vice President and General Counsel to Phillips Petroleum Company William G. Paul.
