JD Admissions

How to Apply

You may apply for the full-tuition AnBryce Scholarship when you are filling out your NYU Law application. Please sign the appropriate statement on the JD application and include a one-page essay (500-750 words) that describes how you have embodied the attributes of an AnBryce Scholar in overcoming personal obstacles, and how a legal education will enable you to promote the program’s ideals in your career. (AnBryce Scholars are committed to giving back to society and making a positive impact on the world. They are determined to live with honor, act with intelligence, and lead with integrity.)

The priority deadline for all programmatic scholarships is December 1, and all scholarship applications must be submitted no later than January 1.  Applicants are considered for the scholarship only after being offered admission.

Admitted students who wish to be considered for the scholarship should also complete the NYU Law financial aid application. To apply for loans to cover living expenses, please complete the applicable FAFSA. (NYU’s school code is 002785.) You may also qualify for the Grad PLUS loan or a private loan to fill any remaining financial gap. You can qualify for additional funding from an outside source as well, but be aware that there may be restrictions or tax implications. Contact the Office of Student Financial Services with any questions.

Finalists will be notified approximately one month prior to the interviews.
