Need a few extra days to pack? Have some loose ends to tie up? Apply for a spring extension.
Spring 2013 residents may request an extension of stay beyond the scheduled check-out date of 10am on May 22, 2013 and 10am on May 26, 2013 for graduating students. Residents are assessed a nightly charge for their stay (see rates below).
Please note the following:
• Residents may request an extension of stay beyond the scheduled check-out time of 10am on May 22, 2013 and 10am on May 26, 2013 for graduating students.
• Requests must be submitted to the Office of Residential Life, 240 Mercer Street, by 5 PM on Friday, May 10. Requests will be processed and notified by Wednesday, May 15.
• The Office of Residential Life will make every effort to accommodate requests for an extension of stay based on room availability and the reason for the request.
• Note that it may not be possible to grant all requests and that it may be necessary for some residents to relocate to a different apartment, depending on the summer usage of their current apartment. Applicants must indicate on the application if they are willing to relocate .
• Once approved, the nonrefundable charge will be placed on your University account.
• Spring residents with a confirmed Transition Week and Summer Housing Assignment for week one should not submit a Spring Extension Request.
• Spring 2013 JD1 residents applying for a Writing Competition Housing Extension should not submit a Spring Extension Request.
• ResNet service is not available as of Wednesday, May 22, 2013 to residents with approved extensions.
We will do all that we can to accommodate applicants in their spring 2013 apartment for their extensions. However, due to the arrival of the summer residents this will not always be possible.
