Billing & Payments
The following information has been provided to give students a general understanding of the billing and payment process. We encourage you to contact the following offices for further information:
- Office of Student Financial Services - Students should contact the Office of Student Financial Services with any questions or concerns they may have regarding financial aid and financing their legal education (scholarships, student expense budgets, federal and private loan programs, LRAP). NYU School of Law students who face financial hardship in paying NYU School of Law summer housing charges should contact the Office of Student Financial Services to arrange a housing payment plan.
- Office of the Bursar - Please visit the NYU Bursar Web site for further information about payment deadlines, methods of payment, and payment plans.
- Office of Academic Services - Students should contact the Office of Academic Services with any questions they may have about the impact of non-payment on registration for classes. As is noted on their Web site, charges (including housing) not paid by the payment deadlines may result in loss of the following services (lottery and drop/add, transcript requests, graduation and issuance of diploma, release of grades, use of the Office of Career Services, Coles Sports Center, and the Library).
Billing
All billing is processed by the
NYU Bursar's Office. The University's Electronic Billing System (E-bill) is the official means of generating tuition bills for enrolled NYU Law students. Paper bills are not mailed. All students who enroll for courses will receive an email at their official NYU e-mail address (netid@nyu.edu), notifying them when a bill for tuition, fees and housing is available. The Electronic bill will indicate charges and credits for the upcoming semester, as well as any balance due from the previous semester. Students may access the Electronic Bill Site by following the steps outlined below:
- Students access their E-bill by logging onto the Electronic Bill Site at http://www.nyu.edu/bursar/viewebill .
- Enter your “User Name” and “Password." If needed, click the "Forgot your User Name" and/or "Forgot your Password" link at the bottom of the Login page.
- New Users: If this is your first visit to the NYU E-bill site, click on “Sign Up!” and follow the instructions provided to create your User profile.
- After logging in, select the “BILLS” tab and click on the “TUITION BILL” link, located in the Bill Summary section.
Please note: The Electronic bill is a monthly billing statement. Monthly bills are generated on scheduled billing dates, and you will only receive an Electronic bill if you have a balance on your account. If you have an outstanding balance, payments made to your account will be reflected in your next Electronic bill. Students can verify balances and payments posted in real-time by logging onto the Albert Student Information System via NYUHome.
Please see the NYU Bursar's Office Web site for more information.
