For LL.M. and Exchange Students
Scholar Activities
Honor students have the opportunity to participate in the LL.M. Honors Seminar, Global Faculty Lunches and Global Special Events.
LL.M. Honors Seminar
One of our most valuable resources are the professors who make up our distinguished faculty.
The LL.M. Honors seminar features seven presentations by eminent professors throughout the academic year. The lectures, followed by a discussion period, are delivered on a variety of topics by NYU or visiting faculty. The goal of the course is to expose students to high-level academic work and discourse outside their main area of study. Some of the presentations are followed by informal receptions with the presenters and other faculty members. Students who opt to take this class do so on a pass/fail basis and in addition to the 24 required credits to receive the LL.M. degree.

Global Faculty Lunches
The Global faculty “brown bag” lunches foster connections between LL.M. Scholars and our distinguished Global Law Faculty. These leading law professors from around the world specialize in diverse fields of law and are renowned scholars in their countries and areas of interest. The lunches typically include a short presentation by a Global Faculty member followed by discussion so that students may learn from and interact informally with these eminent scholars and gain a new perspective on important legal issues.
Global Special Events
Throughout the year, LL.M. Scholars will receive invitations to various Hauser Global Law Program events including the Welcome Global Reception, Festive Holiday Reception and the weekly Forums. These opportunities are a great venue to interact with Global Faculty, Fellows and distinguished guests.
