Global Visitors and Fellows

The Hauser Global Law School’s Global Visitors and Global Fellows programs bring academics, researchers, scholars, practitioners, and doctoral students to NYU for up to one year to conduct and present the research for future publication as a Hauser Working Paper.

Through the Global Fellows Forum and JSD Forum, Global Visitors and Hauser Research Scholars share their research with colleagues, students, and faculty for comment and feedback.  In this way, they contribute to the intellectual life of the Law School and provide an opportunity for the community to learn about current law research from a global perspective and in a wide range of topics.  The Visiting Doctoral Students are fully integrated into the JSD program and provide a further international flavor to the program.

Hauser continues to reach out to universities around the world to encourage application and participation in this program.  Past Global Visitors and Hauser Research Scholars have gone on to become well-respected scholars in their area of expertise and have been invited back to the Law School as Global Law Faculty.

Applications are currently available for the 2009-2010 academic year for both the Hauser Scholars Research Program and the Global Visitors Program
