Guide to Foreign and International Legal Databases


An online guide to Internet resources relevant to foreign and international legal research, posted publicly on the New York University School of Law Library Web site. Suggested materials and Web sites are presented with brief annotations in a series of subject sections. Sections covered topics such as: International law; International Business Transactions; Council of Europe; Environmental law; European Union; Foreign databases by collection and jurisdiction; Human Rights; International Criminal Law; International Organizations; International Treaties, United Nations, etc. Additional sections provide access to general Internet research aids such as: links to guides on different topics of international and foreign law, search engines, directories and indexes; check lists on evaluating legal database; virtual libraries; dictionaries; and guidance on citing electronic information. A local site search facility is available. The site is edited by Mirela Roznovschi, Reference Librarian for International and Foreign Law at NYU School of Law Library.
