University of San Andres (Argentina)
Up to two NYU Law students may study at the National University of San Andres Faculty of Law per academic year for one semester. The program is open to second- and third-year students only who have spent at least one full-year at NYU School of Law. All courses at San Andres are taught in Spanish.
The exchange program with San Andres is designed to offer a serious study of law in an international setting. This is definitely not the same thing as a college semester abroad. If you are looking for a semester abroad with a light course load and plenty of time to sightsee, this is not the program for you. This is not to say that you will have no time to sightsee and familiarize yourself with Argentine culture. You will. But we do want to emphasize that this program is much more academically rigorous than many overseas programs at the undergraduate level.
Universidad de San Andrés was founded in 1989 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and it is already recognized as one of the most prestigious universities in the country and the region. With more than 1,900 students enrolled, it offers graduate and postgraduate programs on Business, Humanities and Social Sciences. Our faculty brings together highly-renowned local and international professors and researchers. The University operates in two locations: a campus in north suburban Buenos Aires and a downtown center.
With several museums and a continuous agenda of cultural attractions and events, there is much for the visitor to see and do. Argentina is also home to some of the best soccer teams in the world. Buenos Aires has a mild climate and is a year-round destination.
