International Court of Justice Clerkship Program
Application Instructions

The Hauser Global Law School Program is currently accepting applications for the International Court of Justice Clerkship program. The clerkship program is open to all graduates of NYU School of Law (including those who will graduate in the spring semester preceding the clerkship.) The clerkship runs for nine months from September 2013 to May 2014. The clerkship opportunity carries with it a stipend which helps support the cost of living in The Hague.

Clerkship experience and familiarity with international law are two important factors in the selection process and applicants must be fluent in both English and French. While not required for application to the clerkship program, candidates should be prepared to supply a writing sample upon the request of the selection committee.  Applicants should be proficient in French.

The deadline for submission of complete applications is January 18, 2013.

All applications must include the following materials:

1. Letter of Interest
2. Resume/CV
3. Academic record/transcript from all law schools attended
4. Two letters of academic or professional recommendation (preferably from individuals who may be able to speak to their credentials in the field of International Law)
5. Writing Sample- Candidates should submit work that has been submitted for publication or other work of publishable quality
