The History of Modernization in Japan and the "Foundation of Freedom:

Professors Carol Gilligan, David Richards, and Frank Upham, in collaboration with the Hauser Global Law School Program, will host a talk and discussion with Professor Kazuo Sato, Professor at Chiba University in Japan. Professor Sato will discuss the result of the recent general election in Japan, introducing the possibility of representative democracy in Japan for the first time.

Professor Sato's many books include Women's Criticism of Modernization, In Praise of Friendship Between Men and Women, and Struggle Against the Stupidity of Labour.
