NYU
School of Law Financing
New York University School of Law evaluates admissions applications
without considering family financial strength or ability to pay. Legal education requires a substantial investment of time,
effort and financial resources. It should be approached with a full understanding
of the benefits and the costs.
Other Financing
The majority of law students in U.S. law schools finance their legal
education with federal and private loans. Most U.S. citizens or
permanent residents are eligible for Federal Stafford Loans. Private
student loans are available to U.S. citizens, permanent residents,
and eligible international students.
This site will provide you with the information necessary to understand
the various types of institutional, federal, and private aid. The amount
of aid available, the form in which it is given, and the conditions
for its awarding are dependent on a number of factors, including
School of Law policies, as well as federal and state guidelines, any of which are subject to modification. There is no guarantee that the particular programs or policies will remain unchanged.
