LL.M. Programs
The Office of Career Services (OCS) provides a variety of career services to LL.M. students including career-planning seminars, access to on- and off-campus recruiting programs, individual counseling, interview practice, résumés and cover letter review, and assistance in marketing oneself to the legal community. We also present workshops, specially tailored to LL.M.s, on all aspects of the job search, panels featuring speakers from specialized areas of practice, information on the legal market, and resources for identifying prospective employers.
LL.M. students enrolled full-time or part-time (with 16+ credits completed) will also receive access to their personalized CSM account to aid in the job search process. Students may take advantage of job postings, a unique personalized profile online, access to the OCS calendar, and more. They will also receive access to the "Job Mail" function which enables students to receive targeted job postings that match their specified criteria in terms of geography, practice area, firm size, or salary requirements. Part-time LL.M. students receive services according to the number of course credits they have completed; please contact the OCS for more detailed information on the services provided to part-time students, and when.
If you wish to discuss any issues which you feel are not addressed by the on-line prospective graduate students career services information, please call our front desk on (212) 998-6090 to set up a brief telephone appointment. Please note that we are not able to provide individualized career counseling until you commence your studies at NYU School of Law, and we cannot indicate your chances of admission to the LL.M. program. We are very happy to answer any questions you have about the program and our services generally.
We appreciate your interest in New York University School of Law, and hope that we can provide information that will assist you in making this important decision.
